IUBAT-International University of Business Agriculture and Technology

IUBAT - International University of Business Agriculture and Technology is the first non government university established in Bangladesh. The initial planning began in 1989 and the university was established in 1991. Degree programs started in 1992 with agreement with Assumption University of Bangkok, Thailand. IUBAT now operates as a government approved university under the Non Government University Act of 1992.

Since establishment, IUBAT has grown steadily. IUBAT now offers one program leading to a post graduate degree, nine programs leading to professional bachelor degrees and two programs leading to professional diplomas. In the short run, IUBAT has plans to add a few new programs. In the long run, IUBAT plans to offer programs in most of the professional disciplines relevant to a developing society. IUBAT operates as a non-profit institution and offers academically rigorous, but practical, instruction in professional disciplines. Prof. Dr. M. AlimullahMiyan is the Founder of IUBAT and recognized by the Government of Bangladesh. The institution derived inspiration from a group of educationalists and professionals from within the country and abroad.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Selection of papers for presentation will be based on detailed abstracts of about 250 words. Abstracts must include a clear indication of the purpose of research, methodology, major results, implications, and key references. An electronic copy of the abstract in MS Word should be mailed to the conference convener not later than 20th January 2012 at mchowdhury@iubat.edu

Cancellation Policy

There will be no refunds on cancellations. The authors will be provided with receipt of payment immediately after arrival at the registration desk and a letter/certificate of participation at the end of the conference

Important Note

Registration fees includes conference kit, lunch and Tea.

Payment Mode:

Registration Fee should be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favor of "IUBAT - International University of Business Agriculture and Technology" payable at Dhaka, Bangladesh. The DD should be sent along with the Registration Form as per the dates mentioned. Please note that No TA / DA will be paid for research paper participation. Registration charges are not refundable.

Guidelines for Full Paper Submission

  1. INTRODUCTION: Manuscript must be in British English prepared on a standard A4 size paper setting. It must be prepared on a single space and single column with 1" margin set for top, bottom, left and right. It should be typed in 12 point Calibri Font with page numbers at the bottom and centre of the every page.
  2. MANUSCRIPT TITLE: The title of the paper should be in a 12 point Calibri Font. It should be bold typed, centered and fully capitalised.
  3. AUTHOR NAME(S) & AFFILIATIONS: The author (s) full name, designation, affiliation (s), address, mobile/landline numbers, and email/alternate email address should be in 12-point Calibri Font. It must be centered underneath the title.
  4. ABSTRACT: Abstract should be in fully italicized text, not exceeding 250 words. The abstract must be informative and explain background, aims, methods, results and conclusion.
  5. KEYWORDS: Abstract must be followed by list of keywords, subject to the maximum of five. These should be arranged in alphabetic order separated by commas and full stops at the end.
  6. HEADINGS: All the headings should be in a 10 point Calibri Font. These must be bold-faced, aligned left and fully capitalised. Leave a blank line before each heading.
  7. SUB-HEADINGS: All the sub-headings should be in a 8 point Calibri Font. These must be bold-faced, aligned left and fully capitalised.
  8. MAIN TEXT: The main text should be in a 8 point Calibri Font, single spaced and justified.
  9. FIGURES & TABLES: These should be simple, centered, separately numbered &self explained, and titles must be above the tables/figures. Sources of data should be mentioned below the table/figure. It should be ensured that the tables/figures are referred to from the main text.
  10. DECLERATION: Author/s must declare the originality of their work. The paper should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  11. REVIEW CRITERIA: All papers will be assessed by a panel of experts and by peer review. Each paper will be subjected to a minimum of two reviews by two individual reviewers. Based on expert's comments, convener of the conference reserves the right to the final decision.
  12. PUBLICATION: All papers will be reviewed and selected papers will be published in the form of edited book bearing ISBN number fromthe conference proceeding.
  13. PRESENTATION: All selected papers are to be presented formally by the authors. Each presentation would be restricted to 15 minutes, Followed by question-answer session for another 5 minutes. The paper contributed by joint authors can be presented by any one of them.
  14. CERTIFICATE: All paper presenters will be issued a certificate for paper presentation. All registered delegates will be issued a certificate of participation.
  15. REFERENCES: The list of all references should be alphabetically arranged. It must be single spaced, and at the end of the manuscript. The author (s) should mention only the actually utilised references in the preparation of manuscript and they are supposed to follow Harvard Style of Referencing. The author (s) are supposed to follow the references as per following:
