Costs are liable to change, but as of 14/09/2009, prices are as follows:

•Accommodation on full board basis is 13,000 Taka per month, it is easy to only live on this, as all meals are of a good size.

•Internet access within the accommodation currently costs 2000 Taka for the first month, and 1000 Taka per month after the initial month. Although this may not be necessary, as internet is available on the IUBAT campus.

•Sim-cards are cheap, and available. Texts to the UK cost 2 Taka per message. For calling, online access numbers or Skype calling is advised. Local calls are free from office phones on the IUBAT campus.

•Currently there are around 110-112 Taka to 1GBP.

•Flight costs vary, but can be found for around £400 return.

•Travel/ Medical insurance varies from around £50, up to and past £100
