The  ceremony of IUBAT IT Society

It was December 6th, 1997, when a long cherished dream and hard work of a handful of IUBAT students, who wanted to learn and share the wonders of Information Technology age. The cause was initiated by a team of 12 Founding Members, under the leadership of the Founding President Mr. M. Amanallah Majumder.  The Founding Anniversary saw a great response from both IUBAT Students and Faculty community, with a large number of members registering on the first day. The ceremony was concluded with displaying a movie show on Giant Screen.

   Past and Ongoing Activities Of ITS

The activities of ITS ranges from academic research, courses, seminars to sheer entertainment. Among the recent fiew events of ITS, are courses organized ansewring different needs of IUBAT students.  These included courses on SPSS for the Business Administration students and Computer Core Courses for the Freshers. The ITS also organized seminars which included well renowned speakers from home and abroad, and topics of major concerns and research, like the effect of Y2K on Bangladesh and the rest of the world.  In brief past most significant past courses were SPSS, Internet Using, Course on MS- office etc.  Also for the entertainment purposes ITS arranged the Movie shows.  Overall through group meeting the ITS members always try to enhance and spread the knowledge of IT among the students. Also ITS already completed the course on "How to make a presentation".

At present, ITS is conducting courses on MS-Office for the Freshers and IUBAT staffs and Pascal for the interested students and staffs of IUBAT.

Overall the ITS is trying to give the students and as well as the outsiders the flame of IT the most important word Information Technology for the better living of the coming millenium.
