WorkShop on SELECTION DECISION FOR EXECUTIVES
Effective management of Human Resources is considered to be a critical role in managing successful organizations. A sound HR practice is a source of sustainable competitive advantage for the organization. Organizations succeed by effectively and efficiently combining resources to implement their strategy. How well an organization obtains, maintains, and retains its human resources determines its level of success.

The HUMAN RESOURCE department helps people and organizations reach their goals. But human resources development faces many challenges along the way. These challenges arise from the demands of employees, the organization, and their environment. Current domestic and international environments are particularly turbulent because of the growing diversity of the work force and the globalization of business. Within this climate, the human resource department must contribute to the organization’s operating success in ways that are ethically and socially responsible.

Although the selection process plays the most critical role in value adding and innovative HR practices, it is not always easy in the absence of a sound understanding of the changing role of HR function in the present environment. To develop a sound understanding of decision for selection of executives and designing and implementing value adding HR interventions in their organizations, the Center for Management Development (CMD) of IUBAT has organized this Workshop on Selection Decision for Executives.

This workshop is a continuing effort of the Centre for Management Development (CMD) to expose the participants to current practices and research in the HRM domain, in addition to reinforcing their existing knowledge.

This program is a continuation of past efforts, but this time it is being organized with the active support and participation of IUBAT’s overseas educational partners.
