Prof M Alimullah Miyan, PhD, Founder
and Vice Chancellor, International University of
Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) and Prof
Wu Song, PhD, President, Yunnan University have
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on
academic and research collaboration on September 01,
2005. Initially, the agreement is valid for five
years with the provision of extension after mutual
consultation. The agreement on cooperation was
reached during the visit of Prof Miyan to Yunnan
University in the month of June of this year. The
agreement was finalized through negotiations of
details between the international offices of the two
universities.
The important aspects of this MOU are
to facilitate all exchanges and cooperative
initiatives between the two universities in the area
of education, research, development, instruction,
and student exchange.
T his agreement between IUBAT and
Yunnan University, China will significantly
strengthen development efforts and
internationalization of IUBAT. With this agreement,
IUBAT’s international active accreditation level
reached 46 universities in North America, Europe,
Australia and Asia. The MOU will greatly facilitate
scholarly exchange between the two countries and
some student exchange is expected in the coming
year.
